Harold R. Byerley

Harold R. Byerley, of Barnhart, MO, departed this Earth on Tuesday December 8th, 2020 at Mercy Hospital South.

Harold was a trouble-making, coffee drinking, animal lover. He usually had a coffee cup in his hand, dog treats in his pocket, and a smile on his face. His favorite pastime was spending time with his pups, Sophie and the late Rusty. He loved taking walks in the park and spoiling them with treats.

His absence will be felt by many including his beloved partner Sue Guiot; dearest father of Jeff (Chris) Byerley, Rhonda (Terry) Adams, Joyce (Rich) Wittman; loving grandfather of John, Shane, Sarah, Cherrie, Tony, Brandon, and Erin; 8 great-grandchildren; dear brother to Ken (Sandi) Byerley, Mickie (Lee) Lowery, Linda (James) Kent, Joy Byerley, Steve (Tanya) Byerley, Connie Miller, Ed (Donna) Byerley, Jim (Kim) Byerley, and Marion Byerley. Cherished friend to many, and those who knew him loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brady and Millie, one brother Bob Byerley and his daughter Debbie Byerley.

He was a kind and honorable man; a devoted partner, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed, and forever in our hearts.

Harold loved animals so much, we are asking in lieu flowers, Memorial contributions be made to the Open Door Animal Sanctuary:

A celebration of life will be held next spring in his honor.

Harold was my step-father for 20 years. I couldn’t have asked for a better parent. He treated me like his own, and I will always love him for it. Harold was an honest, good man, and I will forever be grateful for having known him.
