Henry Abraham Wurtz, a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away Tuesday October 17 2023.

The son of Charles and Thelma Wurtz, Henry was born in St. Louis Missouri October 30 1942.

Henry enlisted in the Unites States Army for two different tours 1961-1964 stationed in Germany, 1964-1967 stationed in Japan. He obtained three medals, expert rifleman (61-64), national defense service (64-67), and good conduct (64-67). His time with the army was highly valued.

Henry is survived by brother Leeroy Wurtz, and sisters Della Vinson, Laura Hardcastle, and Martha Southerland.

He will be joining in eternal peace brothers Charles Wurtz Jr. Walter Wurtz, Joseph Wurtz, Martin Wurtz, Oliver Wurtz, and sisters Myrtle Vassel, and Josephine Dixon.

Henry accomplished many great things and sculpted the lives of many. He is loved and will be missed.

A service honoring the life of Henry Wurtz will be help at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery November 3rd 2023 at 2:30pm.
