Lora Inthaluexay

Lora Inthaluexay(Mitchell), born May 5, 1968 of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away in Maryville, Illinois on May 20, 2016. Visitation will be open to the public at St. Louis Cremation at 2135 Chouteau Avenue in St. Louis Missouri between the hours of 11AM-1PM, Saturday, May 28, 2016.

Lora, 48, was born in Hayti and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. It was there, she met her husband, Kahn in the spring of 1985. Together, they raised their four children. Lora dedicated her life to loving and spending as much time as she could with her family and friends.

Lora’s faith in the Lord was strong and passionate throughout her entire life. Her faith was a part of her and she was a strong believer in the power of prayer.

Lora’s struggle with illness began about eight years ago, she put up a strong and laborious fight. In 2014, Lora was diagnosed terminally ill. Though the news was frightening, Lora continued to be resilient and keep her faith. In 2015, Lora received a lifesaving procedure, and began her road to recovery.

Unfortunately, Lora was hospitalized on March 2, 2016 due to respiratory complications. After three rigorous months of physical rehabilitation, Lora was finally discharged. She was fortunate enough to spend her last full day with her husband, children, granddaughter, and friends. The following morning, May 20, 2016, Lora died of natural causes.

Lora is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Betty(Spence) Mitchell, sisters Carla Mitchell, Cathy McCabe, Connie Gott, Camille Mitchell, and her brother David Mitchell.

Lora is survived by her husband, Kahn Inthaluexay, children Eric Inthaluexay, Amee Inthaluexay(Jake Meinkoth), Aaron Inthaluexay(Hannah Bernaix), and Ashlee Inthaluexay-Cape(John Cape). Along with her granddaughter, Marceline Cape, and in addition to her brothers Michael Karmas (Barbara Musgrave), Thomas Mitchell, and Jimmy Mitchell (Frankie Stephan), many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Lora was a wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.

    Lora was a good person I knew her as a total different person. She was a fighter til the end no matter what she did, I chatted with her for several years. I shared laughs and fights with her. Prayers to the family and friends. We called her nikki stl. rest in peace. YOU kids she loved yall so much she always talked about you kids and the grandbabies.

    I am sadly sadden by the news of Lora passing I consider her to be a friend of mines despite the fact we met in chat Nikki was dear to me and I loved her to death I will truly miss not hearing her voice in my life and I gives my condolences to Kahn and her kids and family……RIP Lora you are in a better place now
