James Edward Christian
James Edward Christian, 64, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away on October 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his fiancée, Kimberly, his four children: James, Zachary, Chelsea, and Carson, his brother Jeff and sister Laurie, and his father, James, as well as his grandchildren; Hunter, Nai’Omee, Bree, Karter, and Laya.
In addition to his immediate family, James also had many extended relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.
James was a passionate man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A talented professional chef, he was known for his incredible biscuits and gravy made from scratch, often enjoyed while listening to his favorite classic rock radio stations. Music filled his home and his heart, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for family and friends.
In addition to his culinary talents, James was an avid woodworker, fisherman, and hunter. He spent countless hours outdoors, finding joy in nature and delight in sharing those experiences with his loved ones.
In his later years, James took up long distance truck driving and found a passion for it. He loved traveling to new places and being over the road, and especially trying the new food along his stops.
James was also known for his unique sense of humor, often telling jokes at the most unexpected moments. His lighthearted spirit and jokes brought joy to all who knew him, reminding us to find humor in life’s challenges.
James will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
