James “Jim” D. O’Hara
James (Jim) D. O’Hara, Jr. 82, of Ballwin, Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in his home. A private memorial service with burial at Jefferson Barracks and a Celebration of Life, is being arranged and will be shared soon. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
Jim was born in Springfield, Illinois to Angela and James O’Hara, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sharon and their three fur babies, his son, James (Peggy) O’Hara, daughter, Michelle O’Hara; grandchildren, Mike (Brianna) O’Hara, Rachel Morgan, Meghan O’Hara, Ben Abeln; great-grandchildren, Kourtney Clark, Daniel (DJ) McCaslin, Lylah O’Hara, Kinsley O’Hara and Miryn O’Hara. Also surviving are sisters and brothers, Sister Madonna O’Hara, David (Sharon) O’Hara, Marilyn (Charlie) Beveridge and John (Maureen) O’Hara, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; sister-in-law, Linda Rollings. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Christine.
Jim grew up in the Springfield, Illinois area, joined the United States Air Force then attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He lived in Madison, WI, Peoria, IL, Macomb, IL then settled in the St. Louis, MO area in 1978. He enjoyed relaxing with his dry martini, hunting, golfing, camping, traveling, reading, and spending time with family. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
