Jerome Jacob Margulis
Jerome Jacob Margulis, 81, passed unexpectedly but peacefully at home on
Thursday, January 31, 2019.
Jerry was the much loved husband of Barbara Jack Margulis for almost 57 years.
He was the proud and loving father of Jason and Cal Margulis, loving
father-in-law of Kim and Amy Margulis, and fond grandfather of Joah Margulis.
He also was a caring cousin and a good friend to many.
Jerry was born on April 6, 1937 to Harry G. and Della Margulis and was the
older brother of Sidney David Margulis. He grew up in University City, was a
1955 graduate of University City High School, and earned his BA in Psychology
at California State University, Northridge. He and Barbara lived in San
Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City before deciding to return to the St.
Louis area. Jerry worked in information technology until his retirement in
2007.
Jerry had a fantastic sense of humor. He was a lifelong avid card player, both
bridge and poker, and had a great interest in history. He also enjoyed movies,
theater, travel, cats, and time with family and good friends. His passing
leaves a huge hole in our lives.
Barbara and family, I read about Jerry’s passing in today’s paper. I remember Jerry as a kind and devoted family man.
My deepest sympathy to all of you.

What I will miss most about Jerry is the sense of humor. This old world so badly needs these charming guys who can always make us laugh and he certainly could do that.
