Joann Carol (Fagnani) Ferrario passed away peacefully at the age of 95 in

her home on February 18, 2023. Joann was born in St. Louis City’s “The Hill”

neighborhood to Ellis Island immigrants from Milan, Italy. She attended

Shaw Grade School on “The Hill” and graduated from Southwest High

School.

Joann was married for 62 years to the late John Ferrario. She worked as a

secretary when she worked outside the home. She enjoyed reading,

crocheting and doing puzzles. She loved angels and her motto was “Love

and Laughter.” She was a very sweet and funny woman and everyone loved

her. She loved her family!

She was a beloved mother to her children: Daniel (Sandy) Ferrario; Bree

Ferrario (Dennis Nickell); Diane (Gary) Matthiesen; and Donna (Tim)

Walters.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Bryan (Kris) Ferrario, Cara (Chris)

Fugate, Jennifer (Chris) Fulton, Michael (Lauren) Molnar and Drew Walters

along with her great-grandchildren: Taylor, Hadley, Mia, Connor, Xander,

Leo, Giovanna and Vincent.

She was predeceased by her parents Giovanni “John” Fagnani and Maria

“Assunta” DeMattei.

There will be a 10:00 mass at St. Ambrose Church on March 10, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, mom would appreciate donations to the Humane Society.
