JoElla (known as Jody to family and friends) passed away peacefully on September 25, 2019 after a long illness. She was born JoElla Weldon on July 2, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri to Joe and Ella Weldon. JoElla was predeceased by her brother David, her parents, and most recently by her domestic partner Mary Ann.

Jody is lovingly remembered by her sister Carol Weldon, bother and sister-in-law Matthew and Michelle Weldon, nephews Tyler and Curtis Weldon, and by aunts, cousins, family and friends.

JoElla served as an LPN in her professional nursing career and later became a tax preparer.

Jody was known for her affection of animals. She never met a dog or cat that she didn’t love, whether it was hers or not. If you would like to celebrate Jody please consider a donation to the St. Louis Humane Society or an animal shelter of your choice.
