John R. May
John R May of Kirkwood, Missouri, passed away August 17, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. (Kluth) May and his father, Don May. He was born November 15, 1954 and grew up in Nevada Missouri. He attended University of Missouri – Columbia where he earned a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Educational Media. John worked for over 30 years at St. Louis Community College as a Video Production Specialist until his retirement. John’s life-long passion was traveling. He was an avid North American road tripper and enjoyed adventures in Europe, Asia, and South America. He will be sorely missed by his friends and traveling companions in St. Louis and Kansas City. A gentle soul, a great sense of humor, and a loyal friend always.
Happy Trails, Johnny Boy. Loved all our times together. You were a wonderful friend for 45 years. I’m missing you and sad for the loss of more time I wanted with you but excited and happy for you as you take your lovely countenance to explore and brighten new worlds. Might, might not!!
Oh my god! John was my first cousin, mother Mary was my father’s sister. I’ve been concerned about him this fall because my aunt has been trying to contact.
