John Riehl (March 8, 1938 – January 25, 2024)

John William Riehl, Sr., passed away on January 25, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of Loie Lee Riehl for 50 years, and more recently beloved husband of Janet Fortus Riehl for three and a half years.  He is the father of Loie Beth (Steve) Couch, Jennifer (Jonathan) Deutsch and Johner (Christina) Riehl; and loving Poppy of Alex, Nick and Alena Ruhl, Riley, Ethan and Tyler Deutsch and Quinner, Whitaker and Zyler Riehl.

After growing up in St. Louis and attending University City High School, John served in the Navy aboard the USS McCaffery. His love of cars led to a career that began locally at Continental Cars, followed by many years working for Jaguar Cars and later Ford Motor Company. He had many hobbies which he fully committed to throughout his life, from racing cars to photography to fishing to woodworking and more.  He enjoyed traveling and educating about cochlear implants.

Celebration of Life Open House on Friday, Feb. 9  from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Westwood Country Club, 11801 Conway, 63131, with remembrances from loved ones at 4 p.m.
