Joyce Corpening

Joyce Corpening (nee Marchisio) 96, went to her eternal home in Heaven on December 25, 2023. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 28, 1927.

Joyce was a member of First Baptist Chruch of Crestwood, Missouri for 30 years where she volunteered in their food pantry. She had a beautiful voice and sang in the church choir. She was a humble and giving lady who lived her faith daily and showed kindness to everyone.

Joyce loved to paint and gift her work to friends and family. She referred to herself as Grandma Moses Joyce as she began this hobby late in life. Her favorite color was yellow, especially yellow flowers and even including lemon meringue pie and lemon candy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Corpening, three brothers (Jack, Gene and Thompson) and a sister (Edith). She is survived by her sons Cliff Corpening (Bellevue, Nebraska) and Philip Corpening (Ironton, Missouri), and her grandson Alex (Bellevue, Nebraska).

Joyce was a resident of The Baptist Home in Ironton since November 2020. She made many friends there. She was easy to love and leaves many fond memories to recall and share.

A memorial service will be held at The Baptist Home on Wednesday, January 24 at 10:00 AM and at the First Baptist Chruch of Crestwood on Sunday, February18 following the worship service.

Memorials preferred to First Baptist Chruch of Crestwood or The Baptist Home in Ironton. The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at The Baptist Home for their loving care and making her feel like a member of their family.
