Juanita “Nita” Bartz
Juanita ”Nita” Ewertz Bartz was called home to our Lord on August 20, 2018, from Nazareth Living Center after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Nita was an excellent daughter of Peter and Margaret Ewertz. She graduated from Notre Dame High School. Nita was a dedicated kindergarten teacher, and always loved helping others. She married Joseph S. Bartz, Jr. in 1961 and raised two daughters. She was totally devoted to her children in all aspects of their lives.
Nita is survived by her daughters Donna (Dwight) Hand and Joanne (Derek Sr.) Schmittgens; grandchildren Kristina (Danny) Allen, John Marquart, Jessica (Bradley) Stumpf, and Derek Jr. (Christina) Schmittgens; and great-grandchildren Gavin and Addison Allen and Ellie, Karlie, and Ethan Stumpf. Nita was a wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend to many. She will be missed here on Earth as she continues her journey beyond.
Service: A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018, at Nazareth Living Center, #2 Nazareth Lane, St. Louis, MO 63129 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

“Words cannot express our gratitude to everyone at Nazareth for all they did for our Mother for the past 13 years. Nazareth is a very special place, filled with loving and caring people. May God bless you all for the kindness you have shown Nita.”
Jo,
You and your family are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. I know you and i walked a similar path with our sweet mothers. I am thankful for our wonderful GOD that now has your Mother fully revived to a healthy state and that she is no longer in pain.
Thinking about you! HUGS!

I am sadden to hear of the death of my cousin, Juanita. Nita was a beautiful person who faced her suffering with patience and faith. I was alway inspired by her every time that we visited.
She is freed from the many years of suffering and is whole again with God. I am sure that there is a happy reunion with her family and friends who are waiting for her.
With love and many prayers for Nita and those she leaves behind.
Sister Agnes Ann
Her cousin, Margaret (Margie) Pisel
