Kevin M. Carbol

Kevin Carbol was “gifted” to us on November 14, 1955, through December 7, 2021.

Kevin had many nuances and led a full and multi-faceted life.  This might include running up and down 627 steps at Parkway North High School stadium, followed by a trip to White Castle (“hold the pickles”) and then to DQ for a Peanut Parfait.

Or – Kevin’s career as a Supervisory U.S. Pretrial Services Officer in the Eastern District of Missouri, during which he tried to remain dignified and professional.  Some days were more challenging than others, such as when on a rural area client home visit, a renegade chicken suddenly flew up and landed on the top of Kevin’s head.

Kevin’s essence was characterized by humor (“I heard you the third time”) strength, empathy, devotion, mischievousness, bad puns, and Intentional Daily Silly Moments.

Kevin was the son of Leo and Florence Carbol (deceased).  Brother to Tom and Mick Carbol.  Dad to Tim Carbol and “K-Pa” to Xavier, Leo, and Zoey Carbol.

Kevin was close as a brother to sister-in-law Sheila Taylor.  Proud brother-in-law to Steve Watson.  Spoiler and tender devotee to Dog critter babies, Gracie aged 16 ½ and Chester aged 17 ½.  Nurturer and protector of wife, Patti Carbol whose parting words are “Thank you my darling for initiating so many life adventures, as well as sharing extraordinarily, ordinary moments just being content together.  Our love was Two Hearts Beating as One”.

Per Kevin’s wishes, his earthly remains will be permanently placed in Tinsman Arkansas at the private Watson Family Cemetery.  There he will join his cherished “other mother”, Medine and “other father”, Orvis Watson – surrounded by nature and a small country church.

This will be Kevin’s earthly resting place, but his soul is in heaven with Jesus Christ, his Savior, as promised in God’s word.

Genesis 31:49 “May the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other.”

Numbers 6:24-26  “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn His face toward you and give you peace.”

St Louis WILD BIRD REHABILITATION CENTER (Native Songbirds)   www.WildBirdRehab.org

Kevin was an enthusiastic and dedicated volunteer assigned to work in the Bird “Nursery”.  He tremendously enjoyed the challenge of nurturing injured and baby songbirds through healing stages until they could be released back to nature with hopes they would flourish

FREE WHEELCHAIR MISSION  www.FreeWheelchairMission.org

International charity focused on providing dignity and mobility for adults and children in developing countries, often in remote villages.  Wheelchairs are simple and maintenance-free.  The wheelchairs provide the recipient with the precious gift of mobility whereby they can actively engage in life and the community versus being limited to sitting on a mat in the corner of a hut.

Kevin, my sweet brother-in-law. The love you poured out to my family has been such a special gift over the years. I treasure knowing how much you loved my sister and embraced my mom – all the special times we shared laughing and spending quiet moments together are priceless moments in my heart. Your big, kind heart…always thinking of and nurturing us. It is difficult to imagine you not being here. We will carry you with us in our daily lives and in our hearts forever. Because of Jesus, and His gift of salvation, I am certain we will share a glorious eternity together.

It was an honor to have known Kevin when he was in Pretrial Services. He had a kind heart and I trusted absolutely every recommendation he gave me. He really cared about the people he supervised. He is gone too soon. My prayers are with him and his family.
