Laura Ann Thompson died November 14th 2015. She was born in St. Louis January 23rd, 1968 to Parke and Martha Thompson, the youngest of five daughters.
Laura grew up in St. Louis and she graduated from Lindbergh High School, class of 1986. She was the Captain of the Junior Varsity Cheerleading Squad her freshmen year. Laura then attended Meramec Community College in Kirkwood, MO. After college, she moved to Orlando, Florida where she worked at Disney World and in the food and beverage industry, for many years, while living in Orlando and then Vero Beach. She later earned her degree in Computer Technology at Florida Eastern State College.
Laura was very talented, witty, and especially sweet. She had a special love of animals. She raised dogs, chickens, and guinea pigs while being a long-standing lifetime member of PETA. She enjoyed drawing and painting and was very talented and creative in her technique. Laura was an excellent caregiver. Her sisters are forever grateful for her enduring and special care of their father.
She is survived, loved, and greatly missed by her father, Parke Thompson III (Marge); sisters, Nancy Thompson of Melbourne, Florida, Karen Brown of Eureka, Missouri, Bonny (Dennis) Hepp of Red Bud, Illinois, and Holly (Tom) Clark of Sequim, Washington; nieces and nephews, Lee Brown (Danny) Hahn, Laif Toland, Lisa Hepp, Danny Hepp, Jeremy Hepp, Jack Clark, and Mattie Clark; great-nephews, Jaxon, Linkyn, and Hayze Hahn; boyfriend, Dave Bier of Vero Beach, Florida; and many friends. Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Thompson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held in Melbourne, Florida and in St. Louis, Missouri in her honor.
