Lenora M. Greenberg

Lenora Margaret (Eichholz) Greenberg, passed away at her home in Eureka, MO on Friday July 14, 2023 at the age of 98. Lenora was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Greenberg; her parents, Casper and Anna (Huhmann) Eichholz; and her siblings, Walter, Ann (Bill) Buenger, Lawrence, and Jean (Elmer) Eisterhold.

Lenora is survived by her sons, Robert (Cecilia) Greenberg, and Mark Greenberg, both of St Louis, MO;  her beloved Grandchildren, Ben, Stephanie, Nate and Peter; Great Grandchildren, Rowan and Hollie; Sister-in-law. Rita Mae Eichholz; and her many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Lenora was born and raised in Meta (Osage County) MO on December 30, 1924, where she was a member of St Cecilia Catholic Church and school in Meta. At the age of 18, Lenora relocated to St Louis, MO, joining her older sister, Ann, to work at Emerson Electric during World War II. It was there she met her future husband, Edward Greenberg. After the war, they began a small business, and enjoyed many years building a life together until Edward’s death in 2010.

Lenora was an accomplished golfer. She enjoyed her time with her many friends, as well as gardening, and mostly being with her family. Lenora’s life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family and friends.

Lenora’s family would like to express deep gratitude to all of the personal caretakers that she had in her last years who were loving and devoted to her many needs.

A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will take place at 11am on Saturday, October 7th 2023 at Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 350 E 4th Street, Eureka, MO 63025. Luncheon to follow.
