Loretta Elaine Green

May 22, 1973- March 3, 2017

Life Reflections

Loretta Elaine Green (nee Stapleton) was born on May 22, 1973 to Pat Stapleton and Willie Woods. She was lovingly raised by her mom and step-father Pat and Marvin Clark, Sr. Her maternal grandmother, Lillie Stapleton, preceded her in death.

She was educated at St. Margaret of Scotland (k-8) winning the 8th grade student of the year award. She attended Bishop Du Bourg High School on a basketball scholarship and later attended Roosevelt High School.

Loretta married the love of her life, Arther Green in Montego Bay Jamaica on September 7, 1999. To this union, they bore two children: Arther Lamar Green, Jr. and Mychael Chanel Green.

While working at Roosevelt Bank on Airport Road, Arther Green, knew he found his wife upon meeting her. Loretta worked as Vice-President of Operations for Dankar Enterprise for over 13 years. She was a licensed Realtor in the state of MO with Covenant Investment Realty as well as a licensed insurance agent.

In 2002, Loretta rededicated her life to the Lord. She joined Maranatha Church International under the leadership of Pastors Samuel and Natalie Earl. She received the baptism of The Holy Spirit and was baptized in Jesus name. Loretta later joined her husband at The Spirit Church under the leadership of Pastors Aeneas and Tracy Williams.

Loretta was a great inspiration to all who knew her. She was awarded the 2016 Strong Heart Award for courage, resilience, and strength by the Hatz 4 Hearts foundation. She loved her family and friends well. She was an exceptional wife and mother. Her children were her chief joy. She enjoyed the Parkway Central Colts basketball and football boys and the PCH families.

Loretta leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband of 17+ years: Arther Sr.; one son: Arther Jr.; one daughter, Mychael Chanel; one step-son Dominick; her devoted mother and right hand: Pat Clark; stepfather: Marvin Clark Sr.; a loving father and step-mother: Willie and Karin Woods, a dedicated grandmother: Earlene Woods; grandfather: Johnny Woods; sister: Natalie Earl (Pastor Samuel Earl) brothers: Marvin Clark Jr; Zachary Clark; Erick Woods (Tanisha) and Ryan Woods. Nephews: Eric Jr, Andrew, and Michael Darren; Nieces: Erin and Ryan. Her best friend: Shakima Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Loretta was such a strong person and very caring. I remember all the times I got to enjoy her while I was growing up as a young women. She showed me what unconditional love was for her brothers and sisters. Every basketball and baseball she would be there cheering them on. I know she is resting peacefully in God’s arms.

    To Loretta’s Family,
Although we were acquainted for many, many Sundays. It was the past two years of which I had the pleasure to know your daughter, wife, mother. There was non like her. She always struck a cord in my heart just to watch her walk by or to see her talking with her children. I remember her dropping Mychael off in Children’s Church and Mychael would cry, Lil Art always got a stern look because he was being a little boy as little boys do. I wasn’t sure why I always recognized her as being so pleasant, quiet, pretty, and classy. I remember those thoughts vividly, and I remember recognizing a certain sadness through her smile sometimes. I would see her and her beautiful family for a while, then she would disappear. She would reappear with the same beautiful smile. Don’t just go to church, with a concerned heart ask about the people you don’t see for a while. It was not until Loretta joined the Guest Team that I learned what long, courageous battle she was fighting. This is not enough space to write how she touched my life, how she touched many. Because we were blessed to know her, we are all better people. Love each other lots and know that she is watching like an “Owl.”

Loretta was a beautiful lady. I didn’t know her personally but I do know her mother Pat( who is a beautiful very sweet lady herself) and some members of her family. I just want to say I am very sorry for the loss of her presence in your family.

    Dear Family,
When I first meet Loretta, it was like we were catching up on past times. But, that wasn’t the case, we just had an eye and feeling that we were both good people. She was a wonderful person to be around and I will definitely miss her at our ladies day and night outs. She was always so thoughtful and always asking how my family was doing. She had a certain queation she would ask me every time she saw me and I already knew what she was gonna say. The funny thing is, she knew my response. I finally was able to tell her yes to her question and she smiled. I must get back to doing what I said yes about before she get me. LOL rest well Loretta my ?? #GNOFOREVER & #FLL
