Lottie Lea Freels, born December 17, 1935 in Mountain Grove, Missouri, passed away on February 17, 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri due to complications from COVID-19.  Her body will be cremated. She was preceded in death by her parents Essie and Lewis Freels, and her sisters Agnes Faye Boyd and Nellie May Wood, and her brothers Paul Freels, Clyde Freels, and Herbert Freels.  Mother of Kimberly L. Raised as a farm girl turned city-dweller, Lottie cherished all animals including cats, dogs, birds and horses. She was a fervent reader of books (loved a great mystery), had an insatiable sweet tooth, and enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Los Angeles Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals. Lottie had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She cherished the friendships she made in her 87 years of life. Most of all, Lottie loved to spend time with her family.

I remember Mrs Freels was always very sweet to me. I appreciate that she was a great mom to my friend Kevin. I’m confident she will enjoy heaven.

This world as I know it has become a little colder since her departure from it.
