Dear uncle of Omar (April) Maldonado, Alicia (Dave) Maldonado-Torres, David (Sera) Maldonado and Michelle (Jesse) Schleupner, Miguel (Ann) Torres. Dear great uncle of Adreanne, Christian, Solis, Elijah, Marcos, Eva, Joaquin, and Natalie. Dear cousin of Rosa Candida (Miguel) Cardona de Perez, Zayda (Julian) Cardona de Egea, Miguel (Jackie) Perez, and Zahira (Efrain) Alsina-Perez.

Luis was born on May 10, 1952 in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico. He proudly served his country for 25 years in the Army. He enlisted in 1973 and retired from the military with a ranking of E-7 Sargent 1st Class. After his retirement, he served as an administrator at Arlington National Cemetery for 10 years. Luis was a resident of Orlando, FL for the past 10 years. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.
