Margery Hoy

Margery May Hoy, 83, passed away Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020, surrounded by her children. A private burial will be held with immediate family at Saint Paul Churchyard and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date for extended family and friends.

Marge was born January 21st, 1937, in Havenhill, Massachusetts to Water Hoy and Germaine Douville and stepmom Marie Koeppens. She is survived by her brother Walter (Ann) Hoy, late brother Thomas (Cathy) Hoy, and late half-sister Priscilla (Larry) Daigneault.

Marge was a wonderful mother of four children: Robert (Cindy) Gebel, Kristi Curtis, Eric (Karen) Gebel, and late Michael Gebel. Her greatest joy came with helping raise her 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Marge continued her life in the legacy of her father running the family shoe business, Hoy Shoe Company. She enjoyed spending her time knitting, listening to music, going to the Lake of the Ozarks, eating dark chocolate, and dogs, especially black dachshunds.

A kind and thoughtful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

So Sorry to hear that your Mom passed away, when I think of my childhood, I think of just being at your house, and sitting around the dinner table having dinner as she laughed and told stories. Also the fun times at the Lake, I will miss her, but not forget her

So sorry to hear of Marge’s passing. She was a pioneer and paved the way for many of us in business!
I miss her sense of humor, wit, opinions on everything, business sense, entrepreneur direction, mother advise,
political comments, kindness to our children as she put those first pair of little shoes on our toddlers feet, and
especially her laughter! She was someone I truly admired over the many years as I was blessed to know her.
    Take Care to you all!
