Mark Sherman Bowyer passed away on February 9, 2023.  He was 65 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents Houston Conway Bowyer , and Lois Elizabeth Sherman ( Bowyer ) a younger brother David Houston Bowyer and his partner Joan Elizabeth McManimie.  He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Elizabeth Bowyer, grandchildren Christopher Wayne Bailey III and Summer Elizabeth Bailey and his brother Dale Conway Bowyer, Dale’s wife Susan and son Luke and daughter Emily.

Mark liked to camp and backpack in the mountain west.  He cooked in restaurants, and crewed on Mississippi River barge tugboats and ocean oil rigs.

Mark will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
