Melanie was more than my assistant Director of Elections. I will remember her words to me before every election, “no matter what may come along, we will get through this election”. Melanie was a very good friend of my wife Mary and I. We will miss her dearly and our lunches together. God bless her soul and may God hold her in His loving arms. Our prayers and thoughts go out to her family especially Sam.

Melanie was so very kind to me when my husband was being treated for cancer. She really was a great “momma” and I barely even knew her. I am so very sorry to hear this news and so very sorry for your loss. She was a lovely woman.

I will miss Melanie. She was very knowledgeable in the election process. I never hesitated to call and get her opinion on any type of election situation. Loved hanging out with her at conferences. Always had a great time!

Sending prayers of comfort for her family.

I met Melanie about 15 years ago, when she worked in St. Louis County, and I continued to work with her when she was at St. Charles Co. We became friends in addition to our working relationship. When she would come to our office, she always brought a smile and a treat (really good key lime cookies!) and would send us little “care packages” of candy every now and then. I will miss working with her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

With a broken heart I write:

    You were my son’s wife,
    And my Grandson’s loving Mother,
    Our would-be Daughter
    And Forever Our Friend.
    We loved you then,
    We love you still.
May God hold you close in his
arms and rock you gently to sleep
every night until we see you again.

Michael Lynch, Linda Honiker Lisa Burkeen, Sue Wilbert and Denise Manning her cousins are so sad to hear of Melanie’s death in August! We always hung out together at all the Lynch’s family gatherings!!

Melanie was the only cousin who came to visit me after my heart surgery in 2012 and 2019 at my leg surgery! We loved Melanie very much and will miss her!

We were all shocked to find out that Melanie passed and no one let us know! We came across the obituary when we were doing our dad’s obituary her Uncle Bob!
