Patricia Ann Stopsky

Patricia Ann Stopsky (nee McCready), aged 89, dearly beloved mother, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2024 with her daughters by her side.

Pat was born to Admiral George T. and Eulale and was their bright, smiling girl. She was raised in her teenage years by Vera, a devoted step-mom.

Pat filled the world with kindness and unflinching compassion for all living things. Her kindness and intellect expressed themselves in her professions, from high school English teacher to manager of senior living facilities. Every person she met got her full attention and her drive to help in any way she could. Her legacy lives through these good deeds.

She was also creative and skilled, expressing herself in stunning embroidery and doll outfits.

She got to travel the world, from Russia to China, but her favorite time was being home with her beloved daughters and her two sweet kitties, Sammie and Cormoran.

Pat leaves behind her dear daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Stopsky and Rina (Pete) Cooper, who will sorely miss her smile, which filled a room.

There will not be a ceremony at this time. The family asks that you consider a donation to a local food shelf in her honor.

Debbie, you were my friend at U. City High School in 1978. I am so sorry you have lost such a lovely woman. Your mother was beautiful and had your smile. I’m sure you also inherited your kindness and gentle spirit from her as well.
    Love,
    Laura (Stewart) Schmidt
