Phyllis McCauley
Phyllis Eileen McCauley, born July 20th, 1919 in San Fransisco, CA and raised in Turlock, CA passed away peacefully at her nursing home in Ellisville, Missouri at the age of 97, on March 1st, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Clark and Belzena Miller, and loving wife of James McCauley. She is survived by her children Jim, Sharon, Dan, and Bill, her granddaughters Debbie, Chrissy, and Megan, and her great grandchildren Lauren, Santiago, Pierce, and Tyler. Phyllis was raised with her cousin Clarence Hodges in Turlock, CA by her grandparents, Thomas and Rose Anna Hodges. After her marriage to James McCauley in 1940, she spent her adult life raising her four children, traveling, and working as a nurse and caregiver until her retirement in the late ‘70s, and continued to care for the elderly in her later years. She loved playing the piano, listening to classical music, reading books, baking, caring for her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, March 18th at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Ellisville, Missouri at 1 pm. ?
