Robert “Bob” Medley
December 14,1959 ~ February 2, 2020
Bob passed away unexpectedly on Super Bowl Sunday 02-02-2020, Groundhog Day. I mention these facts because other than missing the Super Bowl, he would have seen humor in the date being so iconic and it was Groundhog Day. He is probably thinking we will celebrate him every day (because of the movie Groundhog Day). I do not think he would realize people will celebrate him everyday Groundhog Day or not.
Bob was born to William Clark Medley and Doris Mae Medley on December 14, 1959 in St Louis County Missouri. He was the youngest of five children; William Clark Medley Jr, Linda Marie (Medley) Hathaway, Judith (Judy) Irene Medley and Patricia (Pat) Alice Medley.
Bob was survived by two sisters, Linda Hathaway and Pat Medley.
Seven nieces and nephews; Clark Medley, Richard Allen Hathaway III, Lora Kelley Medley Heiden, Mark Owen, Lucinda (Cindy Hathaway) Marie Bauer, Christopher James Kessler, and Stacy Renè (Kessler) Johnson.
Thirteen great nieces and nephews; Megan Lydia (Medley) Drone, Elizabeth Marie (Hathaway) Atchison, Alissa Lynn Zimmer, Moira Anne Barber, Emily Elaine Hathaway, Jacob Thomas Bauer, Mason Fritz Bauer, Stephani Nicole Kessler, Hannah Christine Kessler, Gracie Mae Kessler, Deliliah Sue Annabelle (Belle) Medley, Kylie Rene` Johnson, and Katelyn Marie Johnson.

Four niece and nephew In-Laws; Jeff Hieden, Thomas Bauer, Jessica Kessler, and Ryan James Roth.
In 1979 Bob graduated from Spring Branch High School in Houston Texas and went on to attend San Jacinto Junior College in Pasadena Texas.
Over the years Bob held several jobs. He loved bowling and worked at Plaza Bowl in 1998. Followed by Western Bowl from 1998 to 2005 when the lanes closed. He then went to Strike and Spare for a short time.
Bob worked at Billie’s Diner in St Louis (South City) where he became the Sr dishwasher, a fact he was very proud of. From there he went to South City Diner in St Louis.
Through college and his many jobs Bob made many friends. Friends he may have never seen again but never forgot.
Bob loved sports, he never knew the score to the game he was watching; but he knew everything about the field/stadium and all the players. He especially enjoyed the last five years of watching every game possible at home with his sister Linda. His favorite team was any team not from St Louis. If you asked who he was rooting for in a specific game his response was always “the team with the most points”. To the very end, Bob always went home a winner.
