Robert J. Reinbold
On May 28th Robert “Bob” Reinbold passed away at his home at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Julia, two sons Mark and Zackery, daughter Victoria, daughter-in-law Ivi, granddaughters Emilia and Anna, grandson August, sisters Nancy Klingert, Joyce McCann, Shirley (Howard) Sutton and many family members. Bob was preceded in death by his parents John A. Reinbold and Hazel E. Reinbold.
In February of 2021 Bob had a successful single lung transplant due to end stage Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. To the surprise of the doctors cancer was discovered in the lung removed and later in the remaining native lung. Bob did not focus on the unfairness of the situation but instead focused on living life to the fulliest for the time he had left. Bob and I called the year plus after his transplant our miracle year, which summed Bob up perfectly. Bob believed in focusing on the blessings you have, if you stop and look around you see more blessings than you ever thought possible.
Bob loved being out in life traveling, hiking, boating, snorkeling, and evenings out listening to music. Bob’s greatest pride was his family. His favorite thing to do was simply sitting around and visiting with family and friends. A week before passing Bob celebrated his birthday just this way spending time with his kids and grandkids playing cards and he loved every minute.
For the past 25 years I have had joy in my heart because I had you in my life, Bob you are my one and only.
A celebration of life will be held on June 16th at the Stone Chapel 1106 S. Main St., St. Charles, MO 63301. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am and service starting at 11:30 am. Lunch will be served following the service where we can share our favorite memories with each other.
In lieu of flowers Bob appreciated donations to be made in his memory to the IPF Foundation Donate – IPF Foundation or Habitat for Humanity Online Donation – Habitat for Humanity International.
Bob was just a nice guy…. Anyone would easily like.
My Dad was the best dad I could have ever asked for. He was there for me no matter what situation I was in. Always providing the best advice and even if I didn’t listen at the time, it stuck with me and I carry it on forever. I will always love you Dad.
Very nice video. Well thought out & covered a lot of ground. My uncle (Godfather) will be missed. Unbelievable story. He is at a better place now & no suffering. Becker Family
Such a heartfelt video to Bob and a celebration to a life he spared with family.
Thoughts to you and your family, Julia. Bob’s life was well lived with his family at his center. A person can only leave memories. May the memories made cause you to remember and smile.
