Roger Hitzfield Jr.

Roger Hitzfield Jr., beloved husband, father to Stormy, and a dear friend to many, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, after a courageous and lengthy battle with advanced liver disease. He was 52 years old.

Roger was a dedicated professional who spent many years as a Vice President at Sweetwater Sound in Fort Wayne, In. His leadership at the company left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working with him. Roger’s passions were evident in both his personal and

professional life, and his legacy within Sweetwater Sound will be remembered for years to come.

Beyond his career, Roger had an unwavering commitment to his friends, family, his chihuahua Stormy, and was known for his kindness, humor, and generosity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Roger is survived by his spouse, and a host of family members and friends who will cherish his memory. A private memorial service will be held in his honor in Kauai, Hawaii.

May his soul rest in peace, and his life continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Roger was not only my boss at Sweetwater for years but also my friend. I will never forget his kindnesses and respect he showed to others along with his awesome sense of humor. Roger took great pride in his career/friendships–always had on a nice suit and always took the time to simply check in and see how things were going in your life. You will be greatly missed my friend, until we meet again.

We are truly saddened by the loss of such a beautiful soul. Roger was one of the kindest people to have come to our office. Every time he came in, he brought light and sunshine with him. He had such an impact on those who know him. Thankful for being able to meet you, but bittersweet being able to know he will be welcomed with open arms for eternal life. You will truly be missed. Thoughts and prayers to Becky and Roger for comfort during these times.

    Roger,
I am sorry you are gone and also sad that you left your loved ones too soon.
I am honored to have known you for 10 short years. You were a kind and caring soul inside a loving person who made a great friend.
I will cherish the fond memories of you, Jim, myself, and friends, together, laughing and enjoying life, wherever we were at; Roanoke, St. Louis, Hawaii, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, and even Modesto. And speaking of, I will always be grateful to you, that after many years of wanting to, you were able to finally meet my Mom, to say both hello, and goodbye, to her.
I take comfort knowing that you passed at home, just like you wanted to, surrounded by the lights of one last Christmas and the love of Jim and Stormy to be with you. We will meet again.

Thank you for being a friend.
