Scott Michael Holman

Scott Michael Holman was born December 21, 1956 to John and Betty Holman in Traverse City, Michigan. Scott was raised in Virginia Beach where his father retired from the navy. 

Scott was a free spirit and loved to travel whether it was by car, tugboat or simply throwing his thumb in the air. After a brief stint in the Navy his travels led him to Walterboro, South Carolina. There he met his wife Kelly Leatherdale and began his family with a daughter Natasha. 

His career in restaurant management brought him to Norfolk Virginia where he was manager/ district manager of Wendy’s. While in Norfolk he expanded his family with sons John and Michael.

Once again his career took him to Illinois and after his mother’s death he relocated to Missouri and continued his career in restaurant management. He retired after a brain tumor in 2018 and continued to live in DeSoto, Missouri. 

Scott touched the lives of many and helped in one way or another, even more. He will be missed by so many. Travel on Scott we love you.

Scott is preceded in death by his granddaughter Kiara, his mom and dad, sibling Pamela Pittman, and brother-in-law Mark Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife Kelly Leatherdale Holman of DeSoto Missouri, his children Natasha Holman and Paul Ledford of Fenton Missouri, John Holman of DeSoto Missouri and Michael and Ashley Holman also of DeSoto. His surviving siblings are Kimberly Mitchell of Fenton Missouri, Victoria Rosseel of Virginia Beach Virginia and Richard Holman of Florida. He is also survived by his many grandchildren Maryah, Savannah, Paul II, Taylor, Elijah ,Galileo, Olivia, Isabella, Michael Jr, Faith, and Major with one more on the way. He is also survived by his niece Surai Leatherdale, and brother-in-law’s Ronnie and Gerald Leatherdale.

Celebration of Life will be held on September 24th at 2:00 p.m. at

Washington State Park Big River Access Pavilion
