Life Reflections:

Shawn Lorenzo Patterson was born March 9, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri at Homer G. Phillips Hospital. To Shed Patterson Lee and Ethel Patterson, who both preceded him in death. He was the 7th of 8 of his siblings. Shebra Thomas (Gerald) Yvonnia Brooke, Shad Brooks Jr (Anissa), Shelby Patterson (Kim), Doretha Patterson, and Ronald and Donald Patterson.

Shawn Patterson grew up in St. Louis attended Blewett Middle School where he was enrolled in the ROTC program. He graduated from Sumner High School with a 4.0 grade average. It was there he met the love of his life Nicole Carothers. In the year of 91 Shawn joined the Navy and married Nicole (91-96) within that union they proceeded Shawn Patterson II.

He was stationed in California where he would fly his family back and forth when he could. In 1993 Shawn left the Navy for family purposes. In 2011 on October 22nd the same day of his first born Shawn Patterson and (Kim) produced Deshaun Patterson. 

Shawn always was gifted at drawing, writing, and music later in life that’s all he did! He enrolled in Florissant Valley Community College where those things were his main passion! Not to mention being an inspiring movie director! 

Shawn loved FAMILY & LIFE He was Happy in his own SKIN! He was big on his people and especially his people who were doing good! He always had an ear to hear or a word to say! He loved family meals and made the family feel good about whatever did or produced! An appreciated brother who was always there to catch that good shot!

He survived by; Children, Shawn Patterson II (Keaira) Houston Texas, Dashaun Patterson, Grandkids: Koah Patterson~Keon Patterson (On The Way) Siblings: Shebra Thomas (Gerald), Yvonnia Brooks, Shad Brooks Jr (Anissa) Shelby Patterson (Kim), Doretha Patterson.

A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

Pops, I honestly don’t know where to start but I do know this You love me, you was proud of me, you was happy for me and I’m bless for that I’m honor for that. Your love was pure but yet tuff! Comical but crucial! Smooth but rough! And i will miss it all Pops! Knowing you was the only person there during a tuff time in my life I appreciate I’m thankful for that! Family man! Simple man! Loving Man! Is what you was that’s what I knew you to be and so damn gifted! Words really can’t explain what I’m feeling right now but I do know this!
