Theresa Huitt, age 85, passed away peacefully with Elvis music playing in the background on
her 85th Birthday, January 29, 1929, at Missouri Baptist Hospital.

She is survived, by her son Steven Sweezey. She has joined her other children in heaven Debby and Michael; granddaughters: Pamela, Tammy, Mary Ann, Samatha, Elizabeth; and grandson: Jake. She was a great grandmother to Jada, Sophie, Chloe Brittany, Bella, Lilly, Nevaeh, Cayden, Carter, Laila and Astella. She also was a great great grandmother to Joseph, the daughter of Rose and Julius Naumann. Theresa has also, joined her only sister in heaven, Evelyn.

Theresa Huitt was a spunky, independently strong woman. God decided he had a better plan. She loved and enjoyed going thrift shopping, we have enough trinkets to prove that LOL. She decided she wanted Elvis face tattooed on her leg on her 75th Birthday. Tammy took her and said she didn’t even flench, she was a tough cookie. She took care of a lot of family members and friends through out her life. She was always there for you. She would always tell you like it is, she never sugar coated nothing. She was the most stubborn person that ever existed, but thats what made her who she was. She survived cancer like a boss. Nothing stopped her. She worked in the Union of needle trades, industrial and textile employees at Leader Manufacturer from 1979, and retired from the union in 2004. She raised her kids and her grand babies. She loved her multiple, multiple
inside and outside plants. Some would say she had so many plants it looked liked a forest. She definitely had a green thumb. Let’s not forget to mention, her love for crafts and how she made multiple vases and painted hundreds of picture canvases. She also loved all her cats and her many many Chihuahua dogs.
