Valdine Prentice (nee Sigvaldason) died in faith in Jesus Christ at 3:45 a.m. on April 1, 2022, at the age of 100.

She was born in Arborg, Manitoba, Canada on April 24, 1921.

She was predeceased by Neville Eugene Prentice, her loving husband of 63 years, in 2012.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Margaret Hecker and Carol Mitchell; son-in-law Christopher Mitchell; and grandchildren David Mitchell and Noah Mitchell (married to Shannon); and a great-grandson expected to be born in May 2022. She was the tenth of sixteen children born to immigrants from Iceland. She was predeceased by all six of her brothers and by eight of her nine sisters.

Her daughter Carol and her son-in-law Christopher took care of her for the last twenty-two
years.

Plans for a memorial service are pending.
