Velma Thompson 12/11/2018
Velma entered this world on the 23rd day of August in the year of 1939, to Eli Nash and Luella Steele in the great state of Mississippi. Not long after her birth they moved to St. Louis MO.
Everyone who knew Velma knew that her door was always open, whether it was for a place to stay, food to eat or just a welcoming place, she welcomed ALL!!!. (as long as you washed your hands)
From Velma’s first marriage to James Williams, she was blessed with 7 Children, one of whom proceeded her in death. In later years she married Authur Thompson in the late 70’s.
Velma leaves to cherish her memory her loving children Deborah Paster (Chris), Sheila Williams, James Williams (Donna), Sonya Williams, Cheryl Richerson (Stan), Darryl Williams, (Keith Williams: who proceeded her in death), countless grandchildren, a slew of great-grandchildren, and a host of neices, nephews, family and friends.
Your legacy lives on grandma! Through all of us!
Hey grandma. This is long overdue. I love you and always have. Thank you for all of life’s lessons you raised us with. And I now realize the purpose of those plastic runners…?? Miss you always and forever.?????
