Vernell Lee

Vernell Cardwell Lee was born on May 20th 1943 in St. Louis, Mo to the union of Mamie Mae Lee and Leslie Lee Sr.

Vernell entered into the U.S Army at the age of 20 years old and garnered 4 years of service.

Vernell married his high school sweetheart Mary Ella Harris and to this union 2 children were born, Anthony Derrick Lee and Erica Nicole Berry (Lee).

Vernell went on to become a “Man of the Road” as an over the road Semi-truck driver. Vernell later on would find employment with the United States Post Office as a Tractor Trailer driver for over 20 years until his retirement.

Did not know Brother Lee, but do know his daughter, Erica. Even though death hurts us because it truly is our enemy, we know Brother Lee is not suffering, nor in any pain. How we all look forward to the time when Jesus, through his father’s blessing, will call and those in the graves will come back to us! What a grand reunion! In the meantime may happy memories help to ease the pain of all.
