Vernon “Skip” Clemens

Vernon “Skip” Clemens, 81, of Festus, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 3, 2022.

Skip learned a few trades locally, mechanics while in the Army stationed in Korea, and eventually became an over the road truck driver.  A job he did proudly for 30+ years until his retirement.  He enjoyed a lifetime of family, friends and life on an open road.  Never passing up an opportunity to see a car show, listen to good music, have a good meal or a great conversation.

Skip is the loving father of Jocelyn Clemens and her wife Nancy, of St. Louis.  He is also survived by his siblings; sisters Susie Clemens, Diann Teeters and husband Gary, and brothers Bill Clemens and his wife Lou, and John Clemens and his wife Dee.   As well as many cherished nieces (grand) and nephews (grand).  He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Clemens, and mother Myrtella Clemens (LeClere).

Skip worked for Pre Fab and us on the 80s and 90s. He was always cheerful and often hung around the office chatting with us and other drivers. He was a good worker and always kind hearted.
