Vincent C. Burkhalter

(April 18, 1947 – December 18, 2018)

Vincent Burkhalter “Vince” was born on April 18, 1947 in St. Louis to Henry and Leola Burkhalter. He attended St. Louis area schools, and went to high school at Soldan.

Shortly after high school, he joined the McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Manufacturing Company, while the company was still in its infancy. He would spend nearly 33 years there as an electrician, before taking an early retirement shortly after the company merged with Boeing.

Vince leaves behind two children, Melanie Steen (nee Streeper) and Michael Vincent Burkhalter. Both still reside in the St. Louis metro area. He also leaves behind his mother Leola, sister Alexia Simmons (nee Burkhalter), and brother Cartier Burkhalter. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, a nephew, and several cousins. Henry Burkhalter preceded him in death on March 28, 2018.

Vince will forever be remembered as a hard worker, a generous person, with a kind spirit and a great sense of humor. We will love and miss him always.
