Dr. Daniel Link

Dr. Daniel Link, 60, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed unexpectedly on May 13, 2021 after a fatal stroke. We are devastated by this loss.

Born in November 1960 to loving parents Dr. L.M. and Shirley Link, Dan graduated from Cleveland High School in 1979 and Logan College of Chiropractic in 1984. After college, Dan began his practice with his father, Dr. L.M. Link and later moved to the offices of Dr. Duffy on South Grand. Dan opened his own practice, Park Hampton Chiropractic which later became Link Chiropractic.

Dan was preceded in death by Jim Slagle, Shirley Link and L.M. Link. He is survived by his seven siblings Rhonda Nocito, Christine (Dan) Davis, Brad (Barb) Link, Douglas Link, Darlene (Tom) Schultz, Denise Gregory and Larry “Tony” (Lisa Long) Link. Dan was a loving uncle to Adam Link, Ali Link, Brendan Gregory, Dr. Dominique Nocito, Emily Long, Kassy Link, Keara Davis, Nicholas Schultz, Larry “TJ” Link, Thomas Long, Tristan Davis and Yvonne Haddox. He enjoyed his large family and the company of many great friends like Don Davis, John Bailey and his grade school group from Gardenville. He was formerly married to Lesley Watson.

Dan adored his dog, Slick, and enjoyed activities like traveling, dining out, bicycling and sailing. These activities were well recorded as you could always count on him to be the group’s official photographer. He enjoyed helping others; his many friends and family members will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be June 19, 2021 at Concordia Turners Hall, 6432 Gravois Avenue from 1 pm to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Stray Rescue, 2320 Pine Street, Saint Louis, MO 63103, www.strayrescue.org or Open Door Animal Sanctuary P.O. That smile! I’ve loved Dan’s smile since he was a kid. I suspect there are people who spread more happiness than Dan, but I’ve never met one. We were blessed to know him.

I am stunned and shocked by the news of Dan’s death. My heartfelt condolences to all the Link Family, especially to Rhonda, Dan’s loving sister, that I knew from his chiropractic practice. I talked to Dan on the phone several times not that long ago. What a loving, kind,
sweet person . It was a tremendous privilege to have Dan as a dear friend. What an empty place in my heart now that Dan is gone.
To say the least, this news is tough to take. Dan, my friend, I loved you tons and will miss you even more. Thanks for counting me
among your multitude of close friends. Your smile and sense of humor will be with me forever.

I knew Dan from the YMCA and elsewhere, but hadn’t seen him for a number of years; he was a very good guy. I was doubly saddened on reading his obituary to find that Jim Slagle passed before him. They will both be missed.

As I look at the picture of Dr. Dan, I can hear his laughter. He healed our family for a very long time – I remember visiting his office with Dr. Duffy as a young child. Dr. Dan offered guidance 25 years ago that continues to improve my life today. His positivity and healing will be missed. My heart is with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Dan taught me to stand up straight and wear sensible shoes, he relieved my pain and made me laugh. No one rides a unicycle through the church basement like Dan. I am grateful to have grown up in the Link world, so very grateful and so sad to say farewell to this good person.

I am going into my 25th year in practice as a proud Doctor of Chiropractic.

To all of Dr. Dan’s loved ones and friend…know that his work will continue to change lives because during a routine office visit he said to me, “Dave…I think you’d make a good chiropractor.”

    Cheers, Dr. Dan.

I’m totally devastated and in shock to hear this news.
I am a patient as well as a friend as Dan was at my late husband’s funeral and my wedding along with my 10 year anniversary party to my late husband and my mother’s funeral, he also came to see me when I was in the hospital a few times, I’m still in awe.
I truly loved Dan and I just can’t believe this.
I’m wondering why his patients didn’t receive any letter of notice?
Rhonda,Tony and all the family, I’m so sorry for your loss.
    God bless you all.

I am devastated and saddened to learn of Dr. Dan’s passing. I was a sceptic regarding chiropractic care, but Dan made a believer and advocate out of me. I, as well as several of my co-workers and friends I referred, benefitted greatly from Dan’s expertise, kindness, humor, joy of life and confidence in the care he provided. Also, always a pleasure to see Shelly and Slick. I also will miss seeing Dan in the neighborhood. I am so sorry for your loss, as well as the loss of all of us who were in Dr. Dan’s care.
