Eddie Johnson
Eddie, better known by all who loved him as “Bug” was born on May 7, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to Eddie, Sr & Mary Johnson. Eddie was the 7th of 8 siblings.
He attended Wellston School District graduating from Halter High School in 1975. He was a retiree from the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer district.
Eddie was a loving person who cared deeply for his family. He loved to barbecue and was proud of his fish and shrimp batter. He loved to do all this while singing to the tunes of Marvin Gaye, his favorite musical artist. He liked to tinker with cars and thought he was Mr. Fix-It with lawn mower equipment.
Bug had an outstanding memory. He could remember people, places, and things that most of us had forgotten- people from the old neighborhood in Wellston from his kindergarten through high school years, in between and thereafter!
Eddie “Bug” departed this life on June 4th, 2021 at 3:19 am at Barnes Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Renee Johnson.
He leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his six children- Eddisha, Eddie, Eddidra, Edniya, Eriel, Eran; three grandchildren; five sisters- Doris Johnson, Ursula Smith, JoAnn Williams, Jacqueline Baird, Julia Williams, and Alma Brown (Tony); and one brother- Frederick Williams, all of St. Louis, Missouri; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Eddie will be missed by all who loved him.
Rest In Peace Uncle Bug. Love you always…Bryant, BJ, and Blake.
RIP Eddie
