Dennis Buehler

Dennis Buehler passed away Sunday May 16, 2021 at the age of 54. We are devastated by this loss and will miss him terribly.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Megan Buehler, his mother Denise (nee Wright) Gilley, his twin brother Steven Buehler, his sister Anita Dunn, his nieces Sarah Buehler and Emily Dunn, his nephews Brenden Buehler and Ian Dunn and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father John H. Buehler Jr. and his grandparents John H. Sr. & Mable Buehler of St Louis and Clifford & Anita Wright of Christchurch New Zealand.

Dennis was a kind, funny and generous soul who would give his last dollar to someone in need (and often did). So it came as no surprise to his family that he was a registered organ donor and thus he left this world providing lifesaving and life changing gifts to many.

Dennis was born in February 1967 along with his twin brother Steven. Dennis was always quick to point out that he was born 5 minutes before Steven, thus making him the ‘middle child’. He grew up in Ballwin and Ellisville and was a graduate of Lafayette High School, Class of ’85. He was very hard-working and worked multiple jobs for much of his adult life. He spent 17 years at TGI Fridays, 16 years at CJC Retaining Wall and 18 years at United Parcel Service (UPS) and was a member of Teamsters local 688.

A Celebration of Dennis’ life will take place on Saturday July 24th from 1pm – 4pm in the Bussmann Pavilion at Bluebird Park, 225 Kiefer Creek Rd in Ellisville. The family will receive guests from 1pm – 2pm and the celebration will begin at 2pm. Those wishing to actively participate in the celebration should contact the family directly.

Dennis and I had a long talk about our past when Jeff Riggs had passed about the things we did both good and bad I know he would want a get together for him because he was upset about not going to Jeff Riggs funeral. Either I drove or Jeff Did it was always the same people in the car unless something special was happening Jeff myself Steve and Dennis so much I cannot say and these four know why Now we reached the age when we see our friends and or classmates are dieing off things left unsaid is and not seeing them again makes this the hardest .
… When Dennis fell down the steps I talked to him in the hospital saying we are too young for this crap we both agreed and now this. Good bye Dennis you are missed !\

Met Dennis as a neighbor years ago. Knew Megan as a young child where we lived prior to moving and getting to know Dennis. Small world and he was a wonderful neighbor and generous as well. Still miss him waving or meeting at the mail box. He had some rough times till God took him but know he is in heaven watching over all of his family and friends. Miss you neighbor❤️
