DALE MULDER, 85, DIED PEACEFULLY IN HIS HOME ON JUNE 21, 2021 IN LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO. THERE WILL BE NO FORMAL SERVICE, HIS REMAINS WERE CREMATED.
DALE WAS BORN ONE OF FIVE CHILDREN TO ARTHUR AND LYDIA (RAMHORST) MULDER ON JANUARY 25, 1936 IN ALTON, IOWA. IT WAS THERE HE FOUND HIS LOVE OF BASKETBALL. HE PLAYED THRU HIS HIGH SCHOOL CAREER AND RECEIVED MANY ACCOLADES FOR HIS ACHIEVEMENTS BOTH ON THE COURT AND IN HIS EDUCATION. HE LEFT ALTON AND TRAVELED ACROSS THE UNITED STATES AND ENDED UP IN CALIFORNIA FOR A BRIEF TIME. HE THEN MOVED TO OMAHA, NEBRASKA. WHERE HE WORKED FOR THE AIRLINES. HE THEN CAME BACK TO IOWA AND STAYED IN SIOUX CITY, WHERE HE MET HIS FUTURE WIFE, NANCY S THOMPSON. THEY WERE MARRIED APRIL 19, 1959. THEY HAD TWO CHILDREN, GINA (DENNIS)LINDSAY AND KEITH MULDER.
DALE WAS IN THE TRUCKING INDUSTRY FOR 44 YEARS. HIS JOB TOOK THEM TO NEBRASKA, TEXAS THEN MISSOURI. HE RESIDED IN LAKE ST. LOUIS FOR OVER 30 YEARS. DURING THAT TIME HE AND HIS WIFE, NANCY LOVED TO PLAY GOLF, TRAVEL AND SPEND TIME WITH THEIR 3 GRANDCHILDREN AND 9 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
DALE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, DAUGHTER, TWO SISTERS, WANDA SCHUVER OF SANBORN, IOWA AND LINDA ZWAGGERMAN OF SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA, THREE GRANDCHILDREN, 9 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND MANY NIECES AND NEPHEWS. HE IS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY BOTH PARENTS, BROTHER DARWIN, SISTER DONNA AND HIS BELOVED SON, KEITH.
