Garland C. Clark, Jr.
The world lost one of the good ones when Garland C. Clark, Jr. peacefully died on September 21, 2021.
Born on August 12, 1929 in Huntington, WV, the arc of Garland’s life of 92 years led him to live in WV, MI, KY, FL and MO.
Garland (“GC”) will be dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Joyce (Billups) Clark; his son Mike Clark of Holland, MI (Linda Clark); his daughter Jill Clark Laarman of St. Louis, MO (James Laarman); and his grandchildren that lovingly called him Poppaw – Katie Clark, Sam Clark, Meghan Laarman, Elise Laarman and Thomas Laarman.
He was a quiet and gentle soul who adored his family, enjoyed many friendships and was always ready for a good bourbon and some good music. Garland will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and his taste for pranks. His legacy will be one of kindness, devotion to family and the appreciation of a well crafted beer and a smartly done tune, with which he would always tap along.
