Richard Cline

Richard Alan Cline, 74, of O’Fallon, MO, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2021, surrounded by his family after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Rich is survived by his daughter, Amber Koester (Tim) of O’Fallon, MO, son, Aaron Cline (Melanie) of Wentzville, MO and sister, Jane Cline Bonner (Tom) of Evans, GA, grandchildren, Noelle Koester, Brody Cline, Grady Koester, Ian Koester, Quinn Kuhn and Mila Cline, niece, Janeabeth Bonner Wells, great-nephew, Alex Wells and great-niece, Graysen Wells. Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Vivian Cline and brother, Fred Rohmiller.

Rich, son of Fred and Vivian Cline, was born on March 3, 1947 in Nitro, WV. He was a 1965 Graduate of Nitro High School and received a Bachelor’s of Business from West Virginia State College in 1972. He married Rebecca McCown Cline Reed on Sept 2, 1971. He started his career with Monsanto in 1972 at the Nitro, WV plant, moved to the Trenton, MI plant in 1977 and then moved to the Creve Coeur, MO facility in 1982. He retired from ICL (which was a subsidiary of Monsanto) in 2017 after 45 years of service.

Rich loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren were the light of his life. As a lifelong sports fan he had a passion for tennis, golf, softball, the STL Rams and Cardinals baseball. Rich was a long-time member of Grace Church in Maryland Heights, MO. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #170 in Nitro, WV.

The family will hold a celebration of life on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Whitmoor Country Club 1100 Whitmoor Dr Weldon Spring, MO 63304 from 12-4pm. All are welcome to attend and join us in celebrating Rich’s life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to American Parkinson Disease Association.
