Delores Jean Parkton (nee Holland) 74, a longtime resident of St. Charles County passed away October 24, 2008, at Christian Northeast Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren and brother.

Delores was born March 4, 1934 to William H. and Ruth Holland in St. Louis, Missouri. She was raised in Hillsdale, Missouri and attended Normandy School District.

She married Bernard Neumann October 14, 1951. They were married 20 years and together they had 4 daughters. She raised all her girls in St. Carles County. She was a very loving, caring mother, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

She later married Ralph B. Parkton and they resided in St. Clair, Missouri for many years. They were both members of the Union, Misssouri Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness’.

She was a pleasure to all that met her and had many friends through out her life. She always had a wonderful sense of humor and always made us smile. She will be deeply missed by all who had an opportunity to meet her and be part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Neumann, her second husband Ralph B. Parkton, two great-grandchildren, Ashley Grace Capita and Daniel Steven Capita, and her nephew Billy Holland.

She was the beloved sister of Donald E. Holland and dear sister-in-law to Donna Holland.

She was the dear sweet mother of Linda S. Brown (James), Brenda J. Stafford, Sandra L. Averill (Mark), Laura A. Geringer (Daniel).

She was the beloved grandmother of Richard Brown (Theresa), Brian Stafford (Tanya), Leann McCorkell (Dennis), Joel Neumann, Kristi Neumann, Jill Visconti (Greg), Cory Stafford (Angela), William Brown, Angela Stumpf (Paul), Ryan Craig, Amanda Brown, Katherine Capita (Daniel), and Mark Averill.

She was the great-grandmother to Jessy Brown, Lindsey Stafford, Stevie Hatcher, Taylor Logan, Kurt Stafford, Alex Neumann, Troy Stafford, Shane McCorkell, Caitlin Brown, Sarah Stafford, Abigail Visconti, Nathaniel Stumpf, Ethan McCorkell, Heather Brown, Emily Stumpf, Sean Stafford, Nelson Capita, Selena Brown, Kimberlynn Fritz, Sophie Stafford and Nicolas Capita.

She was a dear aunt to Rhonda Holland and Richard Holland, great-aunt to Justin Brune, Ashlynn Holland and Brendan Holland.
