James Earl Young
James Earl Young of Mathews, MO passed away at Evelyn House Hospice in Creve Coeur, MO on December 6th 2021, he was 67 years old. “Jim” was born on November 1st 1954 in Sikeston, MO to his loving parents Adrian and Jessie Young. Jim was the second of three children that would fill out the Young household.
Jim received his elementary and high school education in Sikeston, he later lived in Parma, Dexter, and most recently Mathews, Missouri. He called Southeast Missouri his home for all 67 years. He worked most of his life in the plumbing and HVAC trades prior to taking the reins of Throwers Shoe Repair in downtown Sikeston. Jim finished out his working years at DeCota Electric’s Poplar Bluff location. He was active with scouting for many years and loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, and woodworking.
As a young man, Jim married Wanda Tuttleton of Parma, with whom he fathered two children. Later in life he married Sharon Kirby of Sikeston, with whom he remained until her death. Lastly, Jim was fortunate to have Lisa Young as his wife and partner until his passing. Jim is survived by his children Chris and Grace, his sisters Theresa and Lynda, and many other family members and friends.

Love and miss you Jim. You were always coming up with something to laugh about or to pick at. Seemed like you knew a little bit about everything and were always willing to teach anyone wanting to learn. Thank you for being a part of my life and for being a good husband and friend to my mom, she really needed you and you were her friend to a T.. We were lucky to have you in our lives… YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSED!
