Sadie Morris
Sadie Morris was born November 19, 1913 in Shreveport, Louisiana to John and Cybil Alberta (Nelson) James. She was the second of six children. Two brothers preceded her in death; T.W. Garrett and Melvin Charles Adams.
Sadie met and married Johnny Morris and later moved to San Francisco, California. No children were born to this union. Johnny preceded her in death.
Sadie was contacted by Jehovah’s Witnesses later in life, studied the Bible with them and became a dedicated baptized Witness for Jehovah in the late 1970’s.
After a long stay at Garrison Care Center where she received loving care, she succumbed to the sin of Adam and fell asleep in death November 5, 2008 at 10:45 a.m.
She leaves behind family to cherish and honor her memory; Three sisters, Corine Berry of St. Louis, Missouri; Bernice McIntyre of Detroit, Michigan; and Rose Harris of Dallas, Texas, as well as a host of nieces, great nieces, great great nieces, nephews, great nephews, and great great nephews, as well as an extended family of Christian brothers and sisters.
