Timothy Kippenberger 1/20/2022

Timothy “Tim” Kippenberger was born August 19th, 1942 to Charles and Veronica Kippenberger in St. Louis, Missouri and joined the Lord peacefully, surrounded by family on January 20th, 2022.

Tim was a gentle, kind, and thoughtful man.  Although often quiet, Tim was considerate and volunteered to help readily.  He loved his family, wife, children and grandchildren dearly.  He was a hard worker, a perfectionist and very much a creature of habit.  Tim always loved the idea of travel, but rarely took the time away from his home. He spent time in Florida and took a cross country road trip to the west coast which he talked about regularly up until he passed.

He is survived by his children Curt (Krista), Tim Jr., Anita, Todd, and Jeanne Kippenberger. Loving Papa to granddaughters Alicia Rice, Gabriel Moynihan, Kaydence and Matti Kippenberger, and great granddaughter, Louna Kitowski. Beloved brother to Terry (Cathy) Kippenberger, Ron (Sue) Kippenberger, Steve Kippenberger, Chloe Kippenberger, and Katie (Gerry) Pawlowicz. Beloved brother in-law of Phyllis Leisher, Cathy (Curt) Williams, Mike (Mercedes) Niswonger, and Tony (Sharrie) Niswonger. Loving Uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many.

He was preceded by his loving wife Mindy Kippenberger, his parents Charles and Veronica, and brothers Jack and Rick Kippenberger.

A mass in his honor will be held at Mother Mary of the Church on February 19, 2022.  Visitation will begin at 10 and mass immediately following at 11.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring and the date will be announced at the mass.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite philanthropic organization.

Tim – I can’t believe you are gone. We were suppose to have more than five months. Your passing has left such a void even with us — your inlaws. Who can I call now with my maintenance problems for a solution, you were my handiman. BBQs out back with the kids in the pool, passing each other at the casino, sitting on your deck while you and Mindy had a smoke until winter arrived then it was into the garage for smokes. We love you Tim and will miss both you and Mindy forever.

Your children arranged your Mass, which was yesterday February 19th at Mary Mother of the Church. The eulogy your son Curt) wrote for you and Mindy was a heartfelt collection of life events with you both as his parents and as an only child. You would have been so proud. All your kids, Tim, Anita, Todd, Jeannie and Curt will be fine and will stay connected. You will live forever in their hearts. We will miss you Tim and love you as we did our sister, Mindy.
