My day was proceeding as usual, then became sadder with the notice that my classmate, Edith KAY Jung had passed. Our senior high school classmates, class of ‘63 at Bayless voted Edith & me Best Sense of Humor. A perfect fit for Edith.
Looking forward to meeting her family on the 26th of March.
I remember Edith from Bayless and the Crest show. I was a year ahead of her in school but we became friends somehow. And I had a crush on her brother. I think his name was Les? She was so cute and funny. A really nice young girl. After school I never really saw or heard from her again. I got married soon after high school so our lives went a different way.
My mom was one of Kay’s good friends. I spent a lot of time with them in my post college years playing games at my mom or Kay’s house. I have so many vivid memories of laughing and joking with Kay. My favorite was our shit talking 😂. That was how we showed each other we cared, our senses of humor matched well. Kay is one of a kind and I wish my son and baby on the way would have gotten the chance to meet her.
