James Carr, Jr.

James Edward Carr Jr. was a smart and athletic man. He was born December 15, 1950 at Homer G. Phillips hospital to James Carr Sr. and Rosie Lee Carr. James was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend.

He went to Vashon High School and received many college certifications. He loved church and was a strong believer in God. James was a taxi driver for over 40 years. He had a special gift— making people laugh.

James was called home on February 13, 2022 and was reunited with his father, James Carr Sr.; his mother, Rosie Lee Carr; sister, Ivory Jean Walton; and brothers, Micheal and Jerry “Carr Man” Carr.

James leaves behind his sisters, Cherlyn and Joice Carr; brothers, Paul Carr and Roy Lee Roberson; his loving caregiver and niece, Cher’re White; special nephews Demon Madison and Gregory Heath; his soulmate, Rita Lee; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will all miss him dearly.

There will be a Celebration of Life at St. Louis Cremation on March 5, 2022, 11am – 2pm
