Katherine “Kitty” Reeve Skeen Johnson
Katherine “Kitty” Reeve Skeen Johnson was a wonderful Wife, Life Partner, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter and Friend. She passed away peacefully in her home in Ballwin, Missouri on March 15, 2022.
Kitty was born in Clintwood, Virginia on March 17, 1943 to Wilhelmina “Billie” Pearl Rader Skeen and Jess Woodrum Skeen.
She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Ole Miss. There she met Roger Carl Johnson, who she married and had 4 children. Kitty later received her master’s degree in Music. She volunteered time playing the flute in the Shenango Valley Orchestra and ringing bells in Saint Mark Presbyterian Church. For many years, Kitty spent her time breeding and showing Dalmatians. She also enjoyed being in her garden where she spent countless hours tending to her plants.
Preceding her in death are Kitty’s parents Billie and Jess Skeen, husband Roger Johnson and daughter Allison Woodrum Johnson. Kitty leaves behind her life partner Peter K Switzer, children Reeve Johnson (Ginger), Jessica Bachman (Eric), Christina Ott (Warren) and Susannah Crawford (Richard). She also leaves behind grandchildren Kyle Soller, Kayla Roath (Tyler), Cody Manning (Bree), Wyatt Baird, Cassie Johnson, Carle Bachman, Cory Johnson, Alec Bachman, Chloe Johnson, Evan Crawford, Ethan Crawford, and Emmitt Crawford.
Kitty was a beautiful soul and will be greatly missed by all.
Services will be held for Kitty, at a later date, in her hometown of Clintwood, Virginia.
