Carl Louis Carter passed away from a long battle with heart disease at Mercy South Hospital in St Louis, MO on February 28, 2022 at the age of 67.  Carl was born in St. Louis, MO on April 13, 1954 to Mary Carter (Sutton) and the late Gordon Carter.  Carl was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 36 in St. Louis, MO.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue Anne Carter (Uetrecht), his son Christopher Carter (Amanda) and his daughter Jessica Pickens (Beau). He was a brother to Claudia Browne (Bill) and an uncle to Dianna Zellerman (Josh) and Scott Browne.  The light of his life were his grandchildren Amelia and Eloise Carter and Riley and Harper Pickens.  He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, friend, and coworker to many.
