Ralph Harrison Schwartz III

Ralph, 61, died on March 22, 2022 from the effects of a stroke. He is survived by his sister, Deborah (Schwartz) Hoffmann and brother-in-law Michael Hoffmann; half-sister Barbara (Schwartz) Tackett; brother-in-law William Tackett and partner Peggy Campo; cousins Doug Sisk, Donna (Sisk) Rowland and husband Matthew Rowland, Dale Sisk and wife Charlotte Sisk; his nieces and nephews: Samantha (Stroud) Askew and husband Michael Askew Jr., Gary Tackett and partner Laura Robinson, Greg Tackett, Gina Tackett and wife Casey Rissell. He had many dear, life-long friends including (but certainly not limited to) ’THE neighborhood’ friends, as well as a host of people he loved and who loved him. There are many second cousins, great nieces and nephews, family spouses, partners, friends, and so many others who join us as we grieve his passing. We will so miss him.

He is preceded in death by, his mother, Peggy Loretta (Whittle Schwartz) Hauser, his father, Ralph Harrison Schwartz Jr, his sister Sandra (Schwartz) Stroud, and his cousin Curtis Sisk.

Born on January 16, 1961, Ralph attended Nottingham Elementary School and Southwest High School, attended Real Estate training, and excelled in managerial supervision in the petroleum retail industry. He was a born salesman, a charmer, and he prided himself on being able to talk to anyone.

Ralph loved music and had varied, eclectic tastes. He worked for years doing concert security for most of the local venues around town. He told great stories!

A memorial is planned for Monday at 3:00 in the chapel at St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave. in St. Louis. We will have time for reminiscing with family and friends, and then conclude with a service starting at 4:00. Join us – bring pictures and mementos to show, and memories to share. There will be a reception after the memorial, hosted by Tom Hessel at 4646 Idecker Dr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to defray expenses.

Ralph and I were best friends from 6th grade on into High School. We met at Nottingham Elementary and enjoyed some great times in High School. So many great memories and of his family. I remember his father, Ralph Jr. and his Grandfather, Ralph Sr., a war hero! Rest in the peace and present of our Lord and be at peace. Love, your buddy Bob!
