Mickey Lewis McKiddy
Mr. Mickey Lewis McKiddy the son of the late Richard Lewis McKiddy and Wanda McKiddy was born April 12, 1957, in St. Louis Missouri. Mickey grew up in the St. Louis Dogtown area. Mickey received his education through the St. Louis Public Schools and attended Roosevelt High school.
Mickey was an avid collector of coins and he also loved to fish and watch his cowboy movies. Mickey went on to work for the Hussmann Corporation where he worked as a sheet metal worker for 25 years and then finally retired on March 31, 2021. Mickey lived a fairly simple and quiet life with his wife Janis, children, and grandchildren.
Mickey quietly departed this life on Saturday, April 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by brother James McKiddy.
He leaves to cherish in his memory his wife Janis McKiddy, sons Jason and Kerry Matthews, brothers Patrick and Thomas McKiddy, sister-in-law Dawn McKiddy, niece Brittany McKiddy and one grandchild Daja Matthews. Mickey also had four stepchildren Orlandis, Christopher, Kendra Matthews, and Ieshia Edmond who loved him dearly and to them, he was known as, “Pops”. Mickey had four grandchildren Anthony Crawford, Cameron Nelson, Jada Reed, Justin Nelson and Dylan Edmond, and two great-grandchildren Noel Nelson and Jamir Nelson.
